The goal of the "Transition Education/Launch Program" is to provide all student with the opportunity to become productive, independent and participating members of society.
The Transition Education Program provides functional life and ADL skill training for students in grades 9-12 with intensive special needs. Community-based vocational training is introduced beginning in grade 9. Students benefit from the opportunity to learn in natural settings in their own community. The program is offered through the Woburn Public Schools and services students from Woburn and surrounding towns.
* Launch Program The Launch program is a community based employment and vocational training program. The program is offered through Woburn Public schools and services young adults with disabilities from Woburn and surrounding towns. Students age 18-22 work on increasing vocational and independent living skills as they prepare for adulthood.
